Our graduates from the Department of Architecture achieved significant success in the internationally organized TERRAVIVA Living Ruins II Architectural Ideas Competition. The competition, which aimed to preserve and revitalize the cultural heritage of the Dereiçi settlement in the Akseki district of Antalya, invited participants to develop design proposals that reinterpret the site as a living open-air museum.
The team including our graduates Mehmet Eren Kavcı and Damla Görnük was awarded 3rd Prize in the competition with their project titled “Veiled Witness.” The project stood out for its approach of reinterpreting the historical fabric of Dereiçi through sensitive architectural interventions.
